Nevada cook-offs

Nevada's competitive cooking scene concentrates around Las Vegas and Reno, with KCBS-sanctioned BBQ contests running spring through fall. The state's outdoor venues and mild shoulder seasons make it a draw for traveling competitors from California and Arizona, and the SCA steak circuit lands in Nevada through the year. The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo's December presence in Las Vegas also draws BBQ vendors and ancillary cook-off events.
