About CookoffList

CookoffList is the unified directory for competitive cooking events across the United States. One calendar covers BBQ, chili, steak, wings, and beans — across every sanctioning body that runs them.

Why cross-category

Most existing directories cover one category and one sanctioning body. That's useful if you're a single-discipline cook, but the reality of the competitive cooking scene is that lots of events combine sanctions (e.g. an LSBS-sanctioned BBQ contest alongside a CASI-sanctioned chili cook-off at the same fairground on the same weekend), and lots of cooks compete across categories through the year.

No site currently puts BBQ + chili + wings + steak in one place. That's the empty space; that's what we're filling.

What we cover

• BBQ — KCBS, IBCA, LSBS, MBN, FBA, CBA, and the regional bodies.
• Chili — CASI and ICS sanctioned plus open events. Including the Terlingua Championship each November.
• Steak — SCA primarily, with steak categories at RCOA and other multi-body events.
• Wings — standalone wing festivals plus wing categories at BBQ and rib events.
• Beans — usually a sub-category at chili or BBQ events; we list them either way.

How the data gets in

Events come from public schedules, submissions, and (when promoters claim their listings) direct edits. We don't scrape behind paywalls and we don't republish private team data. If something on your event page is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Promoters: we're easy to work with

Your events are already free to list. If you want to verify and edit your own listings, claim your promoter profile and we'll grant access. If we got something wrong, email us — we don't bury feedback in support tickets.
